Hydra island
You will visit Hydra one of the favorite islands of the jet set. See the old traditional beautiful stone houses and mansions silently witness a long and turbulent story. Walk on the small narrow stone-paved streets, and explore Hydra with the island’s traditional “vehicle” the saddled donkeys… captivating walks along with the old seaside promenade crystal clear waters, radiant fine craft shops, and the beauty of Hydra will conquer you! We will stay in Hydra for approx. 2 hours.
Poros island
Poros island is the smallest of the three islands that we’ll visit. The attraction of the island is the narrow strait offering a most enchant-ring view of the town. The island of Poros is an idyllic weekend destination for Greeks and visitors alike. The island has the low-key feel of a relaxed holiday destination that makes it perfect for those who looking to relax but also anyone looking to explore the surrounding region, which besides the Saronic isles includes the promontory of Methana slightly to the north and Ancient Troezen on the verdant flatlands across.
The island has just one main town of white cubical houses and grander neoclassical mansions with tiled hipped roofs perched on the slopes of a hill marked by the island’s emblematic clock tower.
The town itself straddles an oval peninsula (technically, the smaller of the two islands that make up Poros) on the verge of a pine forest that stretches over the entire island and descends to the water’s edge. The island is literally a stone’s throw from the mainland and directly across the main town’s alter ego, Galatas, from which a narrow and occasionally very shallow band of water separates it. To the east of the island, the sea between Poros, the valley of Troezen, and the rolling hills on the mainland has a lagoon-like quality and is perfect for water skiing and other gentler water sports, including scuba diving.
Two of the notable authors who felt at peace on its shores are Nobel laureates George Seferis and Henry Miller, as do the more adrenaline-addled younger crowd looking for fun and games in the water. Stay in Poros for approx. 1 hour.
Aegina island
The island of Aegina is the largest of the three islands. Here you will have the chance to choose one of the optional organized tours by air-conditioned buses. Visit the Temple of Aphaea (archaeological site) or the Church of Saint Nektarios, whose relics are displayed. Of course, the graphical harbor is there with its many cafes and restaurants to enjoy. We will stay in Aegina for approx. 2 hours.
After Aegina, we will sail back and a traditional Greek folk show with singers and dancers will entertain you up to the final moment as the ship arrives in Piraeus. Transfer to your hotel and our terminal.
